The healing ability of plants

There's an uncountable number of plants, which we use (or have used) for medical purposes. "Doctor plants".

We all know many of them, without even thinking about it, cause we learned that from our mom and grandmom. We learned;
Chamomile tea for colds
Onions for bee sting
Aloe Vera for - hmm - "everything" ;-)

Aloe Vera has healing effect on cuts and scrapes. It's also effective against itching from insect bites, small sunburns etc.
Make sure you get the "Doctors Aloe Vera", when you buy it. There's a lot if different types out there, they are very pretty, but the effect is not necessarily the same.

But no matter the plant, allways be extra careful that it's the right plant and that you use it correctly.
For instance, I've met several people, who just cut off a piece of Aloe Vera and smears it on.
That's not the way to use it. Aloe Vera contains a sort of resin, that we want to remove first.
Cut off a leaf and put it in water.
The next day there'll be red traces in the water. Change the water and wait until next day.
When the water is clear, the train is extracted from the leaf, and now it's ready  to use.
So don't forget to check if there's some kind of process you need to do before use of the plant.
